BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A former Bulacan businesswoman has foreseen the indisputable political leadership and creativeness of the long-term comprehensive development scheme initiated by Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia as a conducive way to induce small, micro and medium entrepreneurs to the rapidly expanding component city in Central Luzon.
Mrs.Edna Lozada of Santa Maria, Bulacan is overwhelmed when she found out the presence of remarkable development in the capital town of the province with the splendid landscape of Balanga City plaza with sprawling European –style hotel and City hall, restaurants, fast foods and other amenities all intended for the unique convenience of the residents and visitors.
Ms. Lozada said the brisk conversion of Balanga from a sleepy town to a progressive and highly-urbanized city is the outcome of careful, conscientious and tactical plan of the late Bataan Rep. Enrique Garcia,Jr.; incumbent Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia and then Mayor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, now congressman for the second district of the province for the good of the residents visitors and investors.
Lozada emphasized, as the city is experiencing a robust economy,as the commercial and educational center of Bataan, the local officials however, should continue its broad preparation focusing on the problem of traffic congestion, construction of road network and other infrastructure projects for the growing populace.
The notable performance of the local officials in continuously discovering productive and suitable programs of alleviating the plight of the residents specially in the upland and coastal areas should be sustained, Ms. Lozada said.
She added the local City officials should also institute packages which would further improve the livelihood of the farmers and fisher folks with the implementation of effective extension services .
By providing revenue generating livelihood activities, the majority of the residents whose income come from the rich fishing grounds of Manila Bay and West Philippine Sea and from agricultural products would acquire alternative sources of income, Ms.Lozada said.
