Wealth is nothing if your health is at risk

BALANGA CITY, Bataan. – “This is not a question but a compliment for your province. How I wish we also have this kind of hospital in our country.” Said one of the delegates of the 4th Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentarian Global Health Forum held at The Plaza Hotel Balanga, Emiliana Hall and an on-site visit at Bataan General Hospital, Friday. Delegates from different countries gathered for the health programs presented by the Provincial Government of Bataan and City of Balanga. According to Governor Abet Garcia, it was such a great privilege for Bataan to be one of the itineraries for the said Forum. He also mentioned that having luxurious things in this world are useless if your health is at risk. Provincial Health Office (PHO) Head, Dra. Rosanna Buccahan presented the casualties and reported diseases present in the Province of Bataan. She also mentioned that Bataan is 100% Malaria free which makes the Bataeños worry free. Health Promotion provided by the City of Balanga was also presented by City of Balanga Mayor Francis Garcia which focused on the programs and activities regularly implemented. The delegates were divided into 4 groups where they had an on-site inspection on the facilities of Bataan General Hospital. One of the Delegates complimented Bataan General Hospital for having an area where HIV Positive patients can receive immediate medical attention instead of keeping it to themselves. Question and Answer was done at the end of the inspection. Most of them were compliments for having a complete and transparent data all over the hospital.
