Gov. Abet welcomes guests, delegates to the Goat Fiesta 2018

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Governor Albert Garcia led the goat milk ceremonial toast that officially opened the 1st Goat Fiesta being held at the Bataan People’s Center from November 21 to 22 this City.
This event running under the theme theme: “DIWANG: Makabago at Tradisyunal na Teknolohiya sa Agrikultura at Pangisdaan, Handog sa mga Pilipinong Magsasaka” is thru the efforts of Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDC), Central Luzon State University, Bataan Peninsula State University, and the Provincial Government of Bataan
“The challenge for today is what can we get from the agricultural activities we have right now which we can also apply to our community,” said Bataan Peninsula State University President Gregorio Rodis in his welcome remarks.
Guest Speaker, Ilocos Sur Governor Imee Marcos commended Bataan for the continuous growth and support in projects related to agriculture. She also said that as Bataan continues to rise she is hopeful that agriculture will also rise again in the Philippines.
According to Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARD) Deputy Executive Director for Administration Melvin Carlos, the Goat Fiesta seeks to inspire farmers in promoting entrepreneurial activities in farming.
Agricultural products from different provinces all over Central Luzon are also on display.
Senator JV Ejercito also graced the event.
