Power transmission services remain normal despite Zambales earthquake

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Power transmission services of NGCP remain normal despite the 4.9 magnitude earthquake in nearby Zambales Saturday afternoon.

“The Luzon grid including Bataan province remains intact as there had been no reported cases of power interruptions and damaged transmission facilities in Zambales and nearby areas where the earthquake was felt”, said NGCP Corporate Communication Officer Fely Francisco.

The earthquake occurred 12 kilometers from Olongapo City at 12:14 pm.

“We always want best power transmission services for the consuming public”, she also said.

NGCP is Filipino-led, privately owned company in charge of operating, maintaining, and developing the country’s power grid.
