BIR office, no structural damage

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A team of engineers from Balanga City Engineering Office found no structural damage to the Bataan BIR building located along capitol drive after inspection on Tuesday rendering it safe for occupation.
BIR Bataan Admin and HR Head Gemo Espinosa personally went to city hall to request inspection of their building following the earthquake on Monday afternoon.
“Monday night I already texted Mayor Francis [Garcia] requesting the inspection of our building. It was also the order of our regional director to ensure the safety of our employees and the taxpaying public”, he said.
Espinosa and other BIR officers accompanied the city engineers in the inspection. Engineers from the DPWH District 2 also inspected the building. BIR Bataan temporarily closed on Tuesday and resumed operation the next day.
