BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Representative Jose Enrique S. Garcia lll of the second congressional district has earmarked P 5 million for the construction of a proposed multi-purposed covered court in Barangay San Jose, this city.
Mr. Tony Calajate, chairman of Bataan Homeowners Association whose office is located beside the Balanga City Greater Public Market, revealed the other day that Representative Garcia has agreed to look for sufficient outlay to finance a worthy project like the covered court which would be utilized in enhancing socio-economic programs with expanding tendency in the business district of the component city.
Calajate described the strategic geographical location of the project adjacent to the largest public market in the province, state university and private colleges, government offices and sprawling commercial, food and retailing outlets is necessary for ecological prosperity and well-being of the city residents.
The former provincial auditing staff has extolled the excellent performances of the late Governor and Representative Enrique “Tet” Garcia,Jr., incumbent Governor Albert Garcia and Rep. Joet Garcia for effectively implementing more than P 20 million cost of flood control, multi-purposed hall, perimeter fence and other vital public works structures in the prime commercial area in the City.
Such improvements of the road network, drainage facilities and other public works projects have encouraged the entry of more locators specially from small and medium entrepreneurs to put up specialized marketing and retailing activities here, Mr. Calajate added.
