KAPIHAN SA BARANGAY

The Schools Division, City of Balanga started implementing KAPIHAN sa Barangay (KArunugan PInanday HANdog sa barangay) last July 11 in Brgy. Bagong Silang, Balanga City.

KAPIHAN sa Barangay is an initiative of the Department of Education aimed at molding the community and schools to become men and women for others, advocating partnership to help multiply power of advocacy efforts, shared responsibilities, expertise and active participation to accomplish the goal.

DepEd Balanga Division Superintendent, Dr. Carolina S. Violeta, public school principals, GPTA president, education committee chairman/officials in the barangay, SK chairman and other members in the community attended said event.

The highlight of the program was the report of the different school principals on the status of their respective schools, their accomplishments, issues and
problems and how they approached the problems, focused on the discussion on the expected outputs such as drop-out reduction program, gulayan sa pamayanan, tree planting and enhanced sports programs.
