Bagac set to regulate fishing activities

The municipal government of Bagac, Bataan is all set to regulate fishing activities in the municipal waters following reports of alleged illegal fishing.

Bagac Mayor Ramil del Rosario said on Monday that a special task force composed of Bantay Dagat, Coast Guard, Bagac PNP, non-government organizations, representatives from Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and fishermen met at the municipal hall to draw up plans on how “to put things in proper perspective in the municipal waters of Bagac.”

“Yan karagatan namin sa Bagac ang tanging ipinagmamalaki sa buong Gitnang Luson,” said Mayor Del Rosario. (We take pride in having our own unique municipal water in Central Luzon.)
Del Rosario said the campaign will not center on sea waters alone but the whole environment of Bagac including garbage disposal. “Maghihigpit kami diyan pagdating sa kalinisan.” (We will be more strict now when it comes cleanliness program.)
