This huge, spacious factory canteen at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) draws crowd of estimated 4,000 workers a day. The workers of FPF Corporation, a Chinese owned FAB locator manufacturing luxury travel and casual bags, have their breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack at the canteen with a regular menu of rice, pancit, veggies, pork and chicken plus native cakes and drinks.
Ms. Jeena Mariel Santillan, the company human resource supervisor, said the eatery is full-packed with workers during lunch time and followed by another batch of workers in mid-afternoon.
“There is a continuous growth of our manpower as the company keeps expanding,” said Santillan.
Ms. Myla Salas Esmeron, inking supervisor of FPF Corp., said in an interview with 1bataan.com news team recently that because of attractive salary and incentives provided by the company, a number of workers from other provinces come to FAB.
Esmeron had been working at FAB in the past but left due to some personal concerns but returned after realizing that there’s gainful employment in FAB.
