Bataan towards a healthy environment

A memorandum of understanding was officially signed between the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) held at Hablon Room, Shangri-la at The Fort Taguig City, yesterday, July 17.

In 2017, the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) in partnership with the GGGI conducted a 3-day workshop focused on broadening knowledge and understanding green growth concepts, and enhancing green growth planning.
Recently, PG-ENRO and GGGI conducted another workshop regarding the Project Inception Workshop: Bataan 50MW Solar Farm Project together with the GGGI, Department of Energy (DOE), Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO), and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) which aim is to provide wider knowledge on different economic growth problems that other countries have already encountered.

Bataan Governor Albert Garcia expressed his gratitude towards the GGGI, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and Department of Energy (DOE) who are in full support to the province in its efforts to achieve a healthy living environment.
GGGI Deputy Director General Hyoeun Jenny Kim is looking forward to have a successful partnership with Bataan in the coming years. She even highlighted in her message that Bataan’s vision to attain top level human development index in the Philippines is also what GGGI promotes.
