Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) recently concluded a dialogue on Peer Pressure attended by PYAP and Sangguniang Kabataan members held at Pan Resort, Abucay last July 19.
The goal of the said dialogue is to discuss the factors/problems affecting the youth in the society. Ms. Rosanna Verdida of the Provincial Population Office discussed the causes and effects of teenage pregnancy, early marriage, and pre-marital sex. She also mentioned that the Provincial Government of Bataan through their office is doing everything to address these issues through various seminars conducted all over the province.
Aside from the Tobacco Free Generation (TFG) facilitators through the initiative of Congressman Joet Garcia, the Provincial Population Office also has peer facilitators focused on discussing teenage pregnancy, pre-marital sex, and early marriage.
Issues involving crime rates, and drug addiction cases were also discussed for said issues are also part of the main problems of the society. To date, PYAP is actively conducting activities and seminar to lessen the youth problems in the society.
