‘1-4-3’ launched in BPSU Abucay

You plant a tree today and keep it grow until three years or ‘1-4-3.’ This tree planting project was launched on Friday at a vacant space at the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Abucay campus.

Bataan Board Member Godofredo Galicia, Jr. of the province’s first district who was the guest speaker of the said momentous event, said it is about time “we should be concerned about the environment.”
Citing the high spirit and concern for the environment shown by climate activist Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, the former vice mayor of Orani, Bataan dared the youth and local leaders to do something about climate change.
“I’m proud that you in this institution are doing something for our environment,” said Galicia.

Jonathan E. Lacayanga, campus director of BPSU Abucay, said some 1,700 fruit bearing trees and forest trees of different species were planted in open spaces in the campus with almost 500 student population.
