BALANGA CITY, Bataan—-Vice Gov. Cris Garcia led the distribution of P3,000 cash allowance to each of the 3,113 senior high school students in the province under the Iskolar ng Bataan program.
“The program of cash allowance under the Iskolar ng Bataan aims to help all of you and your families”, Iskolar ng Bataan coordinator Ramon Canas quoted the vice governor in her message to students during the recent cash allowance distribution held at People’s Center, capitol compound.
Garcia also urged beneficiaries to combat fake news, “Please counter fake news being spread against the Iskolar ng Bataan program”.
“The beneficiaries originally applied for SPES program. But the program cannot accommodate all the 3,000 plus applicants with the DOLE allotting only 1,000 slots in the province. Instead, the cash allowance distribution was launched to accommodate all the SPES applicants under the provincial government’s Iskolar ng Bataan program”, explained Canas.
He also shared, “We are also happy to read the good feedback in the social media from the beneficiaries and their guardians praising the system we adopted for orderly and efficient distribution of the cash allowance”, he added.
“To improve the manner of cash allowance distribution entails added workload to our staff but it is okay as long we deliver our desire output in line with the thrust of Gov. Abet Garcia of efficient public service”, he said.
