In its effort to widen water service in the first district of Bataan, the Primewater Infrastructure, Inc. is poised to build a pumping station in Barangay Calaylayan.
John Michael Mago, Primewater chief of operation, said the water service is expected to be availed of by almost 4,000 households in the villages of Mabatang, Laon, Wawa, Omboy, Gabon, and Capitangan, all in Abucay town.
He said once the pumping station is completed, pipe-laying works shall begin first quarter next year. The water firm is still negotiating for the purchase of land in Abucay for its full-blast operation next year.
At present, Primewater is renting a piece of land opposite the new site of Abucay municipal hall.
