Gov. Abet sponsors meat inspectors training

At present, all the slaughterhouses in the 10 municipalities of Bataan are classified as Locally Registered, meaning meat from a slaughterhouse in a certain municipality can only be sold within the municipality. A single A accreditation means meat from a slaughterhouse in a certain municipality can be transported and sold in other municipalities within the province. A double A accreditation means meat from a slaughterhouse in a certain municipality can be transported and sold in other provinces, while a triple A accreditation means meat from a slaughterhouse in a certain municipality can be transported and sold in other countries.

The slaughterhouse of the City of Balanga only has to apply some adjustments so as to retain its single A accreditation while a private slaughterhouse in Orani already has a double A accreditation.

Dr. Alberto Venturina, Provincial Veterinarian welcomed the guests, facilitators and participants while Board Member Jose Villapando, Committee on Agriculture Vice-chairman, delivered the Inspirational Message.
