Party list solon inducts new CIS officers in Mariveles

   The party list that counts 400,000 members nationwide advocates community empowerment to fight crime and terrorism. Pagdilao urged the new officers to help maintain peace and order in the community for investors and tourists to come in and provide more employment opportunities.

   Invited to witness the oath-taking was Director Benjamin Magalong, CIDG director, but he sent his Deputy Sr. Supt Rudy Lacadin to represent him in the occasion. In his speech read for him by Col Lacadin, General Magalong thanked the CIS for their continued support in intelligence gathering and monitoring of lawless elements, making it easier for the PNP to apprehend suspected criminals and those involved in illegal activities.

   The CIDG-CIS is the brainchild of Pagdilao when he was the director of CIDG. Correspondent Mar Supnad was the first president of Bataan CIDG-CIS, until he became a member of the CIDG Regional Advisory Council in Central Luzon.

   Marcialito “Al” Balan, a car dealer in Lucanin, Mariveles, heads the new set of officers in the CIS – Mariveles chapter. The new president is former barangay kagawad of Alion, an upland village in Mariveles. Other officers are Aurelio Arenas – Vice-Pres., Glenda Penafiel – Secretary, Romy Bagtas – Treasurer, Enrico Deldoc – Auditor and Paul Gampay and Eladio Bacatan as PROs. The chapter has 137 active members.

   Balan said Congressman Pagdilao not only concentrates in the fight against crime and terrorism but also on education by giving scholarships and infrastructure projects that will benefit the countryside.

   Hundreds of ACT – CIS members in Bataan joined Pagdilao and Balan in a motorcade from Lucanin to Maligaya, two barangays in Mariveles. Municipal administrator Luis Gonzales and Councilor Ace Jello Concepcion, a lawyer and son of Mariveles Mayor Jesse Concepcion represented the Mayor in the said occasion.
