New DILG office to rise in Abucay

A groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction for the new Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bataan Provincial Office in Barangay Calaylayan, Abucay.

Mayor Erik J. Martel joined the event as one of the key officials, expressing his full support for projects that promote better governance and improved public service across Bataan.

Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, DILG Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose, Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, and other provincial and local officials also took part in the ceremony.

Mayor Martel said it is a great honor for Abucay to host the new DILG office, calling it “a big step toward a more efficient and effective delivery of government services.”

The new DILG Provincial Office aims to strengthen coordination between the department and local government units in Bataan, serving as a central hub for public service and governance initiatives.
