Mayor Garcia leads distribution of cash incentives to 187 senior citizens in Balanga

A total of 187 senior citizens in Balanga City including 3 centenarians received cash incentives under the Expanded Centenarians Act in a distribution activity held recently at Doña Francisca Park.

The distribution was facilitated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Under Republic Act No. 11982 or the Expanded Centenarians Act, octogenarians and nonagenarians received ₱10,000 each, while centenarians were granted ₱100,000 each along with a Presidential Felicitation Letter in recognition of their longevity and contributions to society.

Mayor Raquel Garcia personally attended the event to meet and talk with the beneficiaries. Her presence underscored the City Government’s deep commitment to caring for the elderly people community.
