Bataan Baseco Joint Venture Inc. (BBJVI) led the inauguration of the M/T MAKINANG, an 18-MB self-propelled tanker constructed at Herma Shipyard Inc. in Mariveles, Bataan.
According to Jopet Inton, President of BBJVI, the newly launched vessel, listed as Hull No. 124, is expected to open opportunities for strategic investments and further boost economic growth in Bataan through strengthened maritime and logistics capabilities.
Inton also congratulated the Herma Group of Companies, led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Herminio Esguerra, for the successful construction of the tanker, describing the M/T MAKINANG as a product of quality workmanship and local expertise.
Also present during the inauguration were Herma Shipyard Chief Operating Officer Lito Manansala, Petroleum Products and Logistics Group Managing Director Primo Agbayani, BBJVI Chairman Rod Franco, and BBJVI Vice President Jonathan Baldevarona.
