VP Binay visits Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Vice-President Jejomar Binay was warmly welcomed by local government officials in this City last Saturday.

At the Department of National Defense (DND) Arsenal in Limay, he distributed over 362 certificates of lots awarded to workers of the DND Arsenal and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines assigned in Lamao, Limay.

He announced that the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) is set to release more certificates to complete the beneficiaries in the 30 hectares of the 370 hectare-Arsenal property. The vice-president said the processing of the documents came after the topographic survey conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) funded by the HUDCC. Said housing project is also in partnership with the Pag-ibig Fund.

Before the awarding of the certificates, Binay offered wreath to the monument of Gen. Antonio Luna. Together with DND Asst. Sec. Efren Fernandez, Arsenal Director Jonathan Martir, Limay Mayor Virgilio Roque and other DND officials, he also toured the DND museum.

VP Binay also went to the town of Abucay where he inaugurated Senior Citizens centers and distributed wheelchairs and medical equipment for senior citizens in this town.

His last stop was at the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan.
