The first batch of registered farmers in Bataan 2nd district has received financial assistance under the Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program (PAFFP).
Bataan 2nd district Rep. Abet Garcia said the distribution was conducted through the joint efforts of his office and Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 3 to help farmers cope with the increasing costs of farm production and operations. In Balanga City, a total of 544 beneficiaries received cash assistance amounting to ₱2,325 each.
Meanwhile, 285 beneficiaries from Pilar, 274 from Orion, and 284 from Limay also received financial aid under the program.
Garcia assured constituents that the payout of financial assistance will continue in the coming days to ensure that more farmers and fisherfolk in the district will benefit from the government program. He also expressed gratitude to the DA Region 3 for its support in implementing the assistance program in Bataan.
The PAFFP is a national government cash assistance program intended to support registered farmers and fisherfolk affected by rising production and operational expenses in the agriculture and fisheries sectors.
