Financial aid to Bataan 3rd district farmers

Bataan 3rd District Rep. Gila Garcia expressed gratitude to the national government and Department of Agriculture (DA) following the distribution of financial assistance to rice farmers under the Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program (PAFFP).

Garcia said the payout, conducted on May 6 and 7 through the leadership of the DA Region 3, benefited 2,340 rice farmers from four municipalities of the 3rd District of Bataan. Each beneficiary received ₱2,325 in financial assistance. The lawmaker cited the importance of the program in helping farmers cope with rising production costs brought about by the energy crisis.

Garcia extended her appreciation to DA Regional Executive Director Eduardo Lapuz, APCO Region 3, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Bataan headed by Engr. Joey Dizon, and the municipal agriculturist offices in the district.

She also commended the strong coordination among government agencies that ensured the smooth implementation of the program.
