Binay tours public markets in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Vice-President Jejomar Binay on Thursday and Friday toured public markets and other areas in Bataan and joined boodle fights in Orani and Mariveles towns.

He visited public markets in Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal and Mariveles where he was
greeted by vendors and market goers. He gave out black bracelets and some T-shirts to those who came near him.

Former Pilar Mayor Charlie Pizarro, General Manager of the Metro Bataan Development
Authority (MBDA), accompanied the Vice President in the Bataan tour.

He gamely and patiently posed for pictures wherever he went. He went around Balanga City
where he was welcomed by City Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III. He joined a boodle fight consisting of rice, alimasag, fish, bagoong and talong with Senior Citizens, some local officials and vendors led by Mayor Benjie Serrano at the Orani public market and the next day at the Mariveles public market with Mayor Jesse Concepcion.

Lawyer Rico Quicho, Binay spokesman, explained what the Vice President was doing. “Patuloy
ang ginagawa niyang konsultasyon upang makita ang pangangailangan ng mamamayan”. Quicho added that as Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers Concerns, Binay also continuously reminds OFWs to be careful so as not to be deceived.
