“The DAR agency will not be gone”.
ABUCAY, Bataan -The Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) of both Bataan and Zambales has reiterated the commitment of the Department of Agrarian Reform to serve the public.
PARO Engr. Eric San Luis made the assurance during the recent regular meeting of the Provincial Carp Implementing Team (PCIT) and the Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCOM) here.
San Luis pointed out that “release of CLOA to beneficiaries sometimes takes awhile because we want to assure that everything in DAR is legal and in order”. “We continue to do our best in the agency despite seemingly incessant criticisms”. “The DAR officers and employees work 24/7 like policemen”, he added.
San Luis also said, “Now the agency goes full blast in its farming mechanization thrust all over the country. We want the farmers to be ready at the onset of free trade.”
A week ago, 28 farm equipment that included 4-wheel tractor, hand tractor, power tiller, corn husker, and rice thresher were distributed to three farmer organizations from Bataan and seven in Zambales. To date, DAR has distributed a total of P36 million worth of farm equipment to farmer organizations in Central Luzon.
Resolute in his commitment, San Luis said, “The DAR agency will not be gone”.
