PWU’s back-to-back wins

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Students of the Philippine Women’s University CDCEC Balanga Campus took center stage again in the recently concluded 2015 Provincial Skills & Socio Cultural Competition held at the Bataan People’s Center, this City with no less than TESDA Director General, Joel Villanueva and Bataan Governor Albert S. Garcia as Guest of Honors. Other local government officials also graced the well-attended event.

Last year, Ms. Myle Alexis Reyes, former Ms. PWU Bataan and reigning Ms. Bataan won the Ms. TVI title together with Mr. Jayvee dela Rosa as Mr. TVI 2014. This year, Ms. Mary Louise Perdon, a senior Tourism student of PWU got the Ms. TVI title.

Another Philwomenian, Ms. Nikki Joy Enriquez also a Tourism student was declared Champion in the solo singing contest. Incidentally, Ms. Enriquez also won in last year’s singing contest on the Duet category. Both ladies will join the other provincial winners in the 16 trade areas in Tarlac come September 8-10 for the Regional Skills Competition.

Other winners from PWU are Mr. Gerald Gevero (Silver) for Restaurant Services, Mr. Hideyoshi Maruyama (Silver) for IT Software Solutions for Business, Singing contest -Duet Ms. Hannah Grace Fernandez and Mr. Clyde Jaramillo (3rd placer) and Battle of the bands – Mr. Ron Allen David Mr. Luke Jason Fernandez Mr. Alexis Bautista Mr. Arjel Joshua Reyes Mr. Benny Flores (3rd placer)
