A run towards a drug free society

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – In observance of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), in partnership with the Department of Health – Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Bataan and the Provincial Government of Bataan gathered hundreds of people to join the Color Bataan Free Season 3, The Neon Run with a theme “Katarungan para sa Kalusugan, Kalusugan para sa Katarungan” held at the Bataan Tourism Center last Saturday, June 22, this city.

The successful event kicked off with the performance of Twelve Steps Ninja, a rock-band from Bataan who performed the songs they wrote during their stay in a rehabilitation center as it serves lesson to the younger generation to stay away from substance abuse; followed by a 30-minute zumba dance and a 3-km run from Bataan Tourism Center to Vista Mall.
After the run, participants enjoyed an all night long rock concert at Vista Mall open parking with OPM bands like Mayonnaise, Slapshock, Maryzark, Jesse & Christian Perkins and Hollydaze hosted by Rakista radio.

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is an annual event observed simultaneously by United Nation countries all over the world every 26th of June as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of illegal drugs.
