AboitizPower holds Power 101 Seminar, plant tour

AboitizPower, through its Transition Business Group, in partnership with the Department of Energy, hosted a Power 101 seminar and plant tour for media practitioners and public information officers from Bataan, Zambales, and Quezon.

Held at Mt. Tarak Guest House and followed by a visit to the GNPower Dinginin and GNPower Mariveles power plants, the event aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the Philippine energy sector. Topics included the country’s energy landscape, the role of baseload power, and the operations of coal-fired plants that provide reliable supply to the Luzon grid.

Key speakers from AboitizPower and the Department of Energy underscored the importance of safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance in power generation. Media delegates were also given a firsthand look at AboitizPower’s state-of-the-art facilities in Mariveles, considered among the largest coal-fired power plants in the Philippines.
