BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A highly-respected chairman and chief operating officer of a well-known land developer and property leasing firm in the country is favorably confident about the proposed construction of Manila Bay Bridge linking two progressive regions and the proposed creation of international container port terminal at the first export processing zone which is leading toward a top-level national economic growth, Virgilio Pagulayan, chairman and CEO of Bizlink ph, has described the two leading infrastructure projects of Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S.Garcia under the Public-Private Partnership for the People(4Ps’) and investment opportunities in Bataan are categorized as priority areas which extremely promoted the strategic eco-industrial development plan of the country.
Pagulayan has analyzed the great importance of the multi-billion peso blueprint, the building of a 24.4 kilometer toll bridge spanning across Manila Bay connecting Mariveeles town, Bataan –island fortress of Corregidor – coastal town of Naic, Cavite and proposed 48 hectares international container port terminal at Freeport Area of Bataan as an emerging investment hub in Central Luzon.
Pagulayan ,a principal signatory in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)representing a group of South Korean business conglomerate and Freeport Area of Bataan chairman Emmanuel Pineda last week which reportedly eyeing for the strategic site for the setting up of $ 1 billion highly-competitive and world class business process outsourcing logistics industry and, mixed-use offices and commercial strips.
According to Pagulayan, the new locators would hire about 10,000 workers and would establish a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) academy to produce 1,000 graduates yearly which they reportedly needed in their expansion program on information technology endeavors in the country.
Meanwhile ,Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion has welcomed the entry of new locator which considered the biggest investment portfolio since the operation of AFAB .
He learned from economic and trade missions promoting various economic zones in the country that foreign investors have seriously studying and evaluating the innovative fiscal and non-fiscal incentives ,reliable and dependable infrastructure and power facilities, availability of qualified supervisory and technical workforce, and factors which make the historical town as preferred manufacturing site.
He explained while the local government is providing more on productive educational skills ,employment generation ,development of prospective tourist spots and historical landmarks and encouraging fresh investments it also focusing on the training programs for the youth on computer literacy and information technology for them to qualify in business process outsourcing industry which is now booming enterprise with high-paying jobs.
