BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The New San Jose Builders, Inc. will soon start the construction of the Manuel L. Quezon University Bataan branch, with the acquisition of a two-hectare lot from Real Bank. In a news statement, Jerry Acuzar, chairman of the said construction firm, said the property is located in Balanga City right near the provincial Capitol.
The MLQU, a private university in Quiapo, Manila, Philippines is a member of the Colleges and Universities Sports Association (CUSA) and Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA). It offers academic programs at the pre-school, elementary, high school, tertiary, and graduate levels. It is named after Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon.
The NSJBI acquired MLQU in October 2014 with plans of development in its Quiapo (Manila) location, expansion of its graduate and law schools in Quezon City, and now a university branch in Bataan in its aim to provide quality and affordable education to more Filipinos. Aside from the school, the newly acquired lot will also house a mall which is part of NSJBI’s expansion in the province.
Recently, the contract signing for MLQU-Bataan was held at the Victoria Towers, Timog Avenue, Quezon City were Dionisio Toreja of Nativeland Development Corporation, MLQU VP for planning and development and academic affairs Dr. Vinci Nicholas Villaseñor, MLQU President Dr. Isagani Germar, NSJBI Chairman Jose Acuzar, and Real Bank President Carol Ros. Witnesses were Rex Mendoza of Nativeland Development Corp., Princeps Prime Properties Vice President Dennis Morada, NSJBI SVP for audit Leo Barrosa, VP for legal Atty. April Pabellar, and SVP for finance Ceasar Daniel Castro.
NSJBI is also the owner and developer of the now famous Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar and the Galeria Victoria, an iconic building located at the Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga City.
