AFAB strengthens ties with Zhangzhou officials, business leaders

The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) held the FAB Business Promotion Conference on November 11, 2025, at the China-Philippines joint demonstration zone for economic innovative development in Zhangzhou City. The event highlighted investment and cooperation opportunities between the Freeport Area of Bataan and Zhangzhou City, with AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman presenting a special cooperation framework covering key sectors such as agro-industrial development, manufacturing, port and logistics, consumer goods, electric vehicles, financial technology, renewable energy, and tourism.

Administrator Pangandaman underscored the importance of leveraging the strengths of both sides and aligning policies to ensure that collaborations lead to practical and beneficial outcomes. He also acknowledged the support of the Philippine China Economic Cooperation Industrial Park (PCECIP) led by Ms. Sherryl Luo, emphasizing that the partnership aims to translate shared aspirations into concrete and sustainable results through sincere and dedicated cooperation.

The conference concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between AFAB and the Zhangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, represented by Director Sun Ke, marking another milestone in the continued partnership between the Philippines and China in advancing economic innovation and investment opportunities.
