PILAR, Bataan – Alauli, one of the barangays in this town, has transformed into a booming village in the province, Mayor Alice Pizarro proudly announced on Wednesday.

The lady mayor said the village is now bustling with economic activities with four gasoline stations, various eateries and commercial establishments and a branch of 7 – 11. She foresees more commercial buildings rising in the area. “It is fast becoming a commercial center and blooming with economic development,” Pizarro said.

Alauli is at the crossroad where travelers and visitors to the Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles town in the south and Mount Samat, Bagac and Morong in the west usually make brief stopovers.

It is a common sight every day to see long lines of cars and motorcycles and bicycles especially during weekends parked near eateries at the Alauli junction where large tracts of ricelands are visible.

“Mapupuri natin ang Total gas station na nauna sa lugar at nagtiis kahit medyo dry ang negosyo noong una. Ngayon napupuno na rin ang mga commercial spaces,” the mayor said.

Pizarro expressed hope that with the opening of Starmall in Balanga City, more economic activities will spill in Alauli which is Pilar’s nearest village to the mall.
