Amanda Battad tops 3rd Galing Bataan Awards

Ms. Amanda Battad of Amanda’s Marine Products won the most coveted, “Outstanding MSME- Medium Category” Award at the 3rd Galing Bataan Awards led by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office last Nov. 8 at the newly-opened Waltermart Mall.

In an interview with Ms. Battad, she said that said award is the seventh (7th) award she has received in a row for this year, including the the GAWAD SAKA award from Region 3 for Best Agricultural Entrepreneur for marine products.

Ms. Battad is also a recipient of an International award last year because of her famous Amanda’s boneless tinapang bangus and tilapia, bagoong, tuyo and others which have been featured in various TV programs such as Ms. Kris Aquino of ABS CBN and GMA’s Unang Hirit.

Aside from the trophy as Outstanding MSME for Medium Category for food, Battad also received P25k in cash as incentive.

Governor Abet Garcia graced the 3rd Galing Bataan Award staged successfully by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office headed by Ms. Zena Sugatain and participated in by 24 cooperatives, micro-small and medium enterprises for food and non-food and services categories.

In his message, Guest Speaker Benjamin Quinones, said that the Galing Bataan award is a reflection of Gov. Garcia’s good leadership and best practices of the local entrepreneurs.
