ORION, Bataan – The first baby girl of a teenaged couple in Orion, Bataan was born at 12:06 in the morning of Sunday, earning her a spot in the list of the Population Commission as one of the 100 millionth Filipinos.

Jelo Mae,  the first child of a 17- year old former carinderia helper and a gasoline station attendant was born in normal spontaneous delivery at the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City.

Jenny Guerra, 44, said the baby is her first grandchild.

The family lives in a modest house made of nipa roof and sawali walls along the side of the Roman Superhighway, Sta. Elena, Orion, Bataan.

Another baby, a boy, was born also at the Bataan General Hospital at 12:10 a.m. of Sunday. His mother is 23-year old Irene Gallego of Cabog-Cabog, Balanga City.
