Bagac cops anew Seal of Good Local Governance

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The coastal town of Bagac, one of the most sought after tourist and travel destinations in Central Luzon won for the second consecutive year the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance Award recently.

Nick S. Ancheta, Bagac municipal administrator, explained the coveted Seal of Good Local Governance under the auspices of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is a recognition of Mayor Louise Gabriel Q. del Rosario’s exemplary performance in public administration.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government awarded Bagac town for upholding the standard of transparency, integrity and service delivery as it bagged for the second time the 2017 award for Central and Southern Luzon cluster held at the Manila Hotel.

Ancheta said with the town’s outstanding compliance in the several yardsticks provided for the yearly nomination and evaluation procedures, namely: disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business friendliness and communities.

The first cash award incentive of P 3 million went to the upgrading of Barangay Bagumbayan Park while the second financial assistance of P 2 million would go to the road improvement of Barangay Atilano Ricardo.
