BAGAC, Bataan – Mayor Gab del Rosario of this town has all the reasons to smile because Gov. Abet Garcia acknowledged the effort of the town officials as the only LGU in the entire province of Bataan with the most number of projects submitted at the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) headed by Engr. Butch Baluyot under the Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade (ROLL IT) and Tourism Road Infrastructure Project Prioritization Criteria (TRIPPC) programs.
During the recent Provincial Development Council (PDC) Meeting headed and presided by Gov. Abet Garcia, it was announced that the government infrastructure development programs that aim to contribute to inclusive growth and poverty reduction, accelerating the provision of safe, efficient, cost- effective and sustainable infrastructure has been fully met and completed by Bagac town with their documentation/proposal submitted to and approved by the Regional Development Council (RDC).
The identified projects according to Mayor Gab del Rosario, passed the selection criteria and submitted for prequalification documents such as concept study/project profile and other documents which were endorsed by the sectoral committee on infrastructure development (SCID) for consideration of the Regional Develpment full Council.
The projects identified under the ROLL IT program are: 1) construction/improvement of Bagac-Mariveles by-pass road connecting Bagac- Mariveles road to Freeport Area of Bataan and the (2) Construction of road connecting JJ Linao road to Sitio Alapat in support to Shared Service Facility for Engineered Bamboo Production, bgy. Banawang, Bagac .
For the TRIPPC program, the projects are: (1) concreting of road connecting Bagac-Mariveles to Sitio Caybobo leading to beach areas of Bgy. Pag- asa, Bagac, (2) construction of access road connecting Bagac-Mariveles road to Bgy. Pag asa leading to beach areas and the (3) concreting of road connecting Bagac- Mariveles to Bgy. Paysawan leading to Farm Tourism site ( Good Harvest Farm) Bagac.
According to Engr. Butch Baluyot, these infrastructure projects play a critical role in tourism and trade and industry developments, which fully support the administration’s goals of inclusive growth.
