Balanga, a learning destination for other LGUs

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – This city has become a learning destination for other local government units (LGUs).

“Almost every week we are visited by other LGUs to see our good practices in governance”, said Councilor Benjie Merino.

“These good practices started during the time of former city mayor and now 2^nd district Congressman Joet Garcia, and currently being continued by Mayor Francis Garcia and Vice Mayor Vianca Venzon-Gozon”, he said.       

“They also look into the ordinances and resolutions we adopted at the Sangguniang Panlungsod and how they are being implemented”, he added.

“This week the association of Sangguniang Bayan secretaries of Nueva Ecija and the Vigan City Council visited us”, he said.

OIC CityTourism Officer Lolit Del Rosario earlier said visitors from other LGUs find tourism spots in the city like the Tanato River and Wetland Park “a joy to experience”.
