Balanga City completes comprehensive flood control and sewerage system plan

The city government has completed a feasibility study for the implementation of comprehensive long term plan for the upgrading of flood control and refurbishment of sewerage system in the fast province’s growing component city.

Ms. Elsa Ilagan, chief of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) ,has expressed the viewpoints of City Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia to make the province’s government and commercial district as investment haven amidst its high level of urbanizations and escalating figure of industrial and commercial activities .

Ms. Ilagan has highlighted the implementation of the adequate strategic public works mechanism introduced by Mayor Garcia is expected to share out some P 60 million which may eventually resolve the perennial flooding and sewerage dilemma of the residents and commercial entrepreneurs.

According to Ms. Ilagan , the feasibility study leads to the identification of heavily silted waterways which require immediate rehabilitations , unabated practices of residents of dumping garbage and household waste, the presence of informal dwellers along watercourses and other factors affecting ecological perspectives.

Mayor Garcia has evaluated the implication in the expanding corporate activities need reliable and sustainable public works programs to meet the mounting requirements for flooding and sewerage in the locality, Ms. Ilagan said.
