Taking the order from Mayor Francis Garcia and Vice Mayor Vianca Venzon-Gozon of stepping up the measures against COVID-19, city policemen and City Public Safety Office personnel are tasked to be present in key areas here like Bataan Common Transport Terminal and the city public market. Heeding the executive orders of Gov. Abet Garcia, the top two city officials have ordered the prohibition of mass gatherings and the practice of social distancing in the city. The presence of uniformed personnel is also seen to make the areas orderly.
Bataan Common Transport Terminal, located in Barangay Ibayo caters the largest number of commuters in the province daily. According to a local tourism office social media account, five restaurants in the city offer food delivery services, which are Casa Fuego Resto, Hashtag Street Kitchen, Plaza Brew Coffee, Sampalukan Restaurant, and Wooden Leaf Restaurant. The Balanga City Government also formed disinfection teams that are continuously sanitizing and disinfecting certain areas of the city.
