BALANGA CITY, Bataan – One hundred eighty four disadvantaged and displaced workers from this component city recently received assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) under the Tulong Pangkabuhayan Sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program.
City Mayor Francis S. Garcia on Monday personally witnessed the formal distribution of materials for their job to clean the city’s waterways and coastal areas.
TUPAD is a program of DOLE which aims to give short term, or more appropriately, an emergency employment to residents of areas hit by calamities natural or man-made.
Each worker will earn P364 per day and the job will last for 10 days.
The project was made possible in partnership with the city government office thru the city agriculture office and the city public employment service office.
