CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Close to 1,500 students attended the celebration of the Science Film Festival in Bataan which the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) organized through its Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) last December 6-8, 2016.
The SFF is comprised of award-winning documentaries, features and inspiring investigative reports from around the world that tackle different topics in science, technology and innovation.
With the theme “Material Science”, this 12th year celebration of SFF aims to provide the viewers, mostly students, the understanding on how materials are put together, how they can be used, how can they be changed and made better to do amazing things.
Bataan PSTC conducted the film screening in three selected schools in the province, namely: Pablo Roman National High School in Pilar, Bataan, and Bataan National High School and Cupang Elementary School, both in City of Balanga, Bataan.
The officials and teachers of the three schools were very grateful to the conduct of SFF because it does not only give information but also open the curiosity and minds of the younger generation.
