BALANGA CITY, Bataan-A sports fest dubbed Warden’s Cup is being held inside Bataan District Jail.
Jail Superintendent Andrew Tauli, Bataan District Jail warden, said the sports event formally started last Monday graced by Board Member Rey Ibe, Chairman of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Justice.
He said both male and female inmates are joining the sports fest. They are competing in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, ping pong, and chess.
“We are conducting the sports fest for the health of inmates as well as to promote friendship and camaraderie among them”, Tauli said.
He said there are currently 1,785 male inmates and 200 plus female inmates inside the district jail.
