BALANGA CITY, Bataan – First District of Bataan Representative Geraldine Roman, in a press conference, revealed her willingness to allot funds for the publication of a Bataan history book.
Her commitment to transform her promise into reality, came after her message at the Historical Symposium on the 262nd Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Province of Bataan held recently at the Bataan People’s Center.
Roman expressed her great pleasure that finally, what she and 2nd District of Bataan Representative Joet Garcia III worked for since the start of the 17th
Congress has finally been signed into law, the establishment of the Bataan Foundation.

Moreover, the significant information shared by the guest speaker at the Historical Symposium, Prof. Cornelio Bascara, a UST Associate
Professor and a native of Mabatang, Abucay contributed to Cong. Roman’s determination to pursue the publication of a Bataan history book.
Congresswoman Roman has a special message to the youth, “huwag isipin na ang kasaysayan, ay hindi magagamit o walang silbi; you’re all into discovering who you are and part of who you are is history”.
