BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Gov. Abet Garcia led the launching of the 1 Million Trees for 1 Bataan Challenge (1M41B) at the Bataan People’s Center on Monday.
“We still have fossil fuel economy, we have to clean our air, remove pollutants, and we can do that through massive tree-planting”, said the governor.
“The 1M41B is very millennial. We have to tap and engage them in this project. This is called crowd sourcing”, he also said.
A representative of PG ENRO Head Engr. Vic Ubaldo who was unfortunately indisposed, explained at the launching the environmental aspect of the challenge.
“In sync with the thrust of Gov. Abet Garcia, we want all Bataan folks particularly the youths to truly understand and participate conserving and protecting environment”, earlier said the PG ENRO head as he lauded the new project.
Ubaldo has led this year PG ENRO’s conduct of Bataan Environment Summit participated by about 500 senior high school students and other environmentalists highlighting provincial government’s serious effort to protect and conserve environment.
“We urge everyone in of Bataan to participate as a way of pitching in for environment care, and not to mention winning the prices that are at stake”, he also said.
“While aspiring for inclusive growth, the governor does not want neglect of the environment”, he pointed out.
