Bataan SCs share best practices

A group of senior citizens from Aurora province recently paid a 3-day visit to Bataan as part of their bench marking mission.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) head Mrs. Marilyn Tigas welcomed members of the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) from the eight (8) municipalities of Aurora who arrived last July 31.

According to Aurora PSWD Officer Aida Rutaquio, the purpose of their benchmarking is to observe Bataan’s best practices in terms of the welfare of senior citizens in the province. She commended Bataan PSWD Officer Marilyn Tigas for all the accomplishments and best practices of the province that she has been presenting in the regional level.
Aside from the discussion of PSWDO’s best practices, there were also site visits that include the Municipality of Orani and Mt. Samat Shrine. PSWD Officer Aida Rutaquio also commended the Municipality of Orani as well as its facilities and best practices for the senior citizens.
Bataeno Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines (BFSCA) President Roberto Mateo discussed to the members and staff of Aurora OSCA how they maintain an effective relationship between leaders and members for it is one of the problems of Aurora OSCA.
