A 91-year-old resident of Barangay Lati, Orion has recovered from COVID-19 and completed the 14-day quarantine period last Wednesday, October 21. Based on real-time data of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Nazaria Ariban Crisostomo or Impong Nene is the oldest COVID-19 survivor in Bataan.

According to Ms. Ernialaine Ramos, assigned DOH nurse in Barangay Lati, Impong Nene had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient; she was tested last October 6 while under home quarantine and the result was positive.

Crisostomo was then advised to undergo strict home isolation instead of being quarantined in a designated treatment facility in the province since she was diagnosed as asymptomatic or showed no symptoms. She was monitored thrice a day and provided with meals, fruits, and vitamins every day until the end of her quarantine period. Her relatives were also instructed to report to BHERTs any signs and symptoms they may feel.

To celebrate the recovery of Crisostomo, the Punong Barangay of Lati and ABC president, Jesselton Manaid together with his BHERTs, gave Impong Nene a simple surprise and a certificate of appreciation.

As of October 21, said barangay is now clear from COVID-19 cases.
