BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Coinciding with the observance of International Women’s Month, the Bataan General Hospital (BGH), in cooperation with the Bataan Multi-Sectoral Governance Coalition (MSGC) launched the Bataan General Hospital’s Women and Child Protection Unit (WCPU) this morning at the BGH compound, this City.
After the motorcade, the program proper, with the theme “Itigil ang Pang-aabuso” followed. Dr. Glory Baltazar, Medical Center Chief 1 of the BGH warmly welcomed the guests and other stakeholders. Engr. Carlito dela Pena, Chairman of the Bataan MSGC; Dr. Sandra Hernandez, Director of Training CPU, PGH; and Mayor Tonypep Raymundo of Orion were among those who graced the affair and delivered inspirational messages.
Dr. Ma. Almira Kiat, Head of the BGH-WCPU gave an overview of the newly launched unit, that is for the welfare and protection of two of the most vulnerable sectors of our society, the women and children. Dr. Jocelyn Bongco, Head, BGH Pediatric Department expressed their heartfelt gratitude in her closing remarks.
