BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has a share of P100 million fund for the construction of a modern district jail in Orani town.
“I accompanied our BJMP Regional Director Alberto Balauag and other jail personnel to the office of Gov. Abet Garcia at the capitol for the ceremonial turnover of the fund recently”, said Bataan District Jail Warden Jail Superintendent Andrew Tauli.
“BJMP fully supports the construction of the modern district jail at Bataan Command Center in Orani as initiated by Gov. Abet Garcia”, he also said.
“The new jail will surely be more spacious”, he added.
Provincial Engineer Ric Yuzon earlier said the total budget for the construction of the new Bataan District Jail amounts to P900 million.
“Except the share of BJMP, total funding comes from the provincial government”, he said.
“The new district jail will have complete facilities like green area and gym”, he also said. A hospital reportedly will also be built.
