The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Limay has recently released Balikbayan boxes for the families of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Of the 29 Balikbayan boxes, 25 were delivered to the recipients last December 2022 in time for the Christmas holidays under the guidance of District Collector, Atty. William B. Balayo.

Balayo reported to 1Bataan News that as of January 10, only four Balikbayan boxes remained for pickup.

Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz ordered the immediate release of the unpaid and abandoned balikbayan boxes for OFWs families with the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to address the needs of the OFWs.
