The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services conducted training on slaughter goat production participated by local farmers and representatives from Abucay municipal agriculture office.
Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes M. Paguia who facilitated the training, pointed out Filipino farmers can maximize profit from goat raising.
He discussed tips on the proper way of taking care of slaughter goats. Proper feeding, breeding, and technologies on housing of the goats were presented to participants.
Paguia underscored the importance of attending relevant trainings before farmers engage in the slaughter goat industry for better production and profit. He invited farmers to attend the upcoming training sessions which will include advanced topics on slaughter goat-raising.
The one-day training was in line with the extension project on Community Participatory Action Research, and was held at Hulo Dumangan in Abucay.
