BAGAC, Bataan – About 900 local folks from the towns of Bagac and Morong got free eye checkup and glasses in a program conducted by the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) and a foundation.
“What our beneficiaries got was complete eye checkup and glasses”, said Eyecare We Care Philippines Director Susan Jane Damilao who oversaw the two-day program held successively in two towns recently.
“Our foundation originated from Washington State USA”, she revealed during the program held at BPSU Bagac campus.
The foundation brought with them a bus equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel.
“We are happy that we are able to partner with Eyecare We Care to help our provincemates in Bataan”, BPSU College of Technology Dean Dr. Bernadeth Bernalte Gabor.
“This is our second tie up with the Eyecare, and there is already a plan to conduct again the activity in the towns of Pilar and Dinalupihan this year”, she also said.
“During the conduct of the activity in Bagac and Morong, BPSU Pres Dr. Greg Rodis was closely monitoring it”, she added.
“Eyecare saw the earnest desire of Dr. Rodis to help our provincemates. In fact, BPSU and the foundation will sign an agreement to formalize the partnership”, she said.
